Cold Comfort: Friday, July 12, 2024 – Agatha (2)

Dear Diary,

The lodge is quiet. Too quiet. I guess Lydia doesn’t always put more things out for lunch, and I’ve never looked back in the kitchen for her, so I don’t want to just go poke my head in because I’m feeling weird. And I don’t usually see Jonathan, since he’s more likely to be out picking up emails or grocery shopping or whatever.

I did see Truman and Edgar come in, but I don’t think they saw me. I was in here, trying to read some fluffy romance novel, and I guess they saw a message on the desk or something because they took off right away, basically just passing through. I’ve got no idea what that could mean, but my stomach keeps twisting, and I don’t want to eat lunch. Maybe I’ll just wait here until someone comes back.
